Parent Plants
A species carlablackiae from Enid Offolter (USA, @nsetropicals). This to my knowledge is not a selding but a result of 2 individuals NSE grows, but this information is not certain. A corner stone of my breeding, passes on amazing intense contrast and bright red emergents to offspring in my experience.
This plant originates from a quite well-known batch that was initially believed to be pure Anthurium carlablackiae, but later proved to be an unintended bench hybrid between NSE carlablackiae and an unknown pollen donor, produced by Enid Offolter (USA, @nsetropicals). The most commonly speculated pollen donors are A. portillae and A. papillilaminum.
The plant exhibits a striking deep red emergent leaf color, delicate spidery venation, and a slightly elongated, triangular leaf shape. It has become a cornerstone in my breeding program, consistently passing on exceptionally dark foliage and richly colored emergents. Offspring also frequently inherit the fine pin-striping and spidery veins.
Size: M
Disclaimer: Please note that as both parents originate from NSE, this is likely some level of selfing. Same cross but reverse has grown very well for me.
