This is select individual number 2 of my own hybrid, Ace of Spades × forgetii. It has consistently shown a closed sinus with a purple hue. The second picture shows the emergent leaf.

Suspected distinctive species besseae aff with and amazing oil-slicked, very strongly colored emergent and really lovely, not thick but still bold silver veins. Makes an amazing hybrid parent as colors of the offspring come out very beautiful.

Besseae aff makes an amazing parent and the colors come out really beautifully combined with the AOS x forgetii. Besseae aff has that oil-slick emergent and lovely silver veins that aren't thick but are still bold, and this hybrid really got that. The seedlings came out inky dark with awesome emergent, and so far I've kept two peltate-leaf individuals because I just love peltate leaves: one with striking veins, one more symmetrical in shape and venation. A striking combo of dark and vivid.
